You may ask yourself, “what can a facebook page do to change the world?” Well, you would be surprised. Since most sweatshops are employed by U.S. companies, the most efficient way to end sweatshops is to change the U.S. foreign trade laws. A Facebook page like this will raise awareness. It will not be easy and will take time, but it is worth it and with support it can be done. 1. Protests and marches will be organized by this page in the future which will make sweatshops a public issue and attract politicians. 2. We will run campaigns to raise awareness about sweatshops, and therefore get people to vote for political members who will vote in favor of changing foreign trade policies. 3.We will also promote fair trade products from companies that share the same goal. Protest against companies that use sweatshops will also be planned. Such fair trade companies are, Goodsociety, Tompkins Point apparel, and Honest Tea. 4. This will take time to accomplish, but eventually the majority of national politicians will give into pressure and be in favor of changing the foreign trade policies, and consider changing them. This process will be much harder than this brief summary makes it out to be. For this to be possible, we will need all the SUPPORT and input we can get.
