You may not even think that even in this 21st Century majority of the people (+7.5 billion) live under tyranny. Almost every country calls it Republic; biggest joke of all is the Democratic Republic of Korea. But even in those countries which are considered the Champions of Freedom; Freedom really does not exist. Only people can guard their rights, the one in power never do. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, was not a cliché. It is inherently built in human nature to abuse power & never relinquish it. Sometimes bloody struggles are needed. From the time of Magna Carta, through the French Revolutions until today we see a pattern of deception practiced by the elites. What surprises me is the attitude of the masses whose founding fathers scarified, fought & won the rights for them, but their children have chosen to give it away. They are happy with the sugar coated pills hiding the poison inside. I think, what we do not know will not hurt us (apparently). Reader, Turkmenistan is not the ONLY country.
