You may or may not have been following the news, but the FAA is set to create rules for drone use. These rules will likely include a provision that drones cannot be use for commercial use without licensing, and heavy regulation. Without delving into whether the particulars are good or bad, I would like to address how it effects you, the client. Once the FAA enacts legal guidelines, the cost of flying a drone will dramatically increase, as will the billing rates for their use. The public input cutoff is in just a few weeks. If youd like to get the most value for your aerial video dollar, then waiting around is going to cost you. I have two slots to fill between now and the end of the month.
