You may want to use this article as a gentle (although powerful!) reminder as you move through the Holiday Season. This time of year, of course, we have even more access to sugary and junk food of all kinds. Sugar is the culprit of many diseases and health problems ranging from diabetes to Alzheimers disease. Mindfulness and paying attention to what you eat are key to your good health :-) There are ways to adjust your Holiday recipes to include less sugar and more fiber *without* using artificial sweeteners like aspartame and Splenda. P.S. There is a very short and informative video tracking the digestion of two meals: one processed food meal and one whole food meal. Amazing!
