Her eyes were surgically removed because of disease and HHDR was able to help her with her medical care to ensure she had the best quality of life possible. Sadly, her first family was unable to keep her when life threw them a curve. We were in awe when we were re-introduced to her at how well she had adapted to her loss of sight. They gave her a great start as she was confident and a social butterfly. But Huskies do not do well in a kennel like environment, and one with a disability might be harder to place. So we turned to you to help us tell her story and wow! Applications were being received at an unprecedented rate from all over the country! Marcy mania had come to Helping Hounds. It took a few days to go through them all, but when we met her new family we knew we needed to look no further. Employed at Arise at the Farm, her new mom understood completely about learning to adapt and embrace life. The two of them are quite a pair. No obstacle seems too difficult after meeting them and they are a testament to living life to its fullest. Marcy recently came back to help her grandparents find a new dog and she chose well bringing Nick into the family.
