You might not know this about me...but I grew up in the military! Yup, Marine Brat here!! Spent my first 13 years bouncing all around the globe with my family. Japan-Spain-Hawaii-even the Aleutian Islands of Alaska!! My dad was in the first Iraq war--Desert Storm--and when he came back...well, he was never the same. He promptly left the military; we moved to Oregon. It was there he abandoned my family shortly after we moved--and my guess is that there was some form of PTSD at play to some degree in him taking off. Who knows. I share this very private detail of my childhood only because having grown up in the military--having dear friends in the service --AND my own little brother and his family serving our country every day, well, it hits a topic that is very close to my heart. I will be matching that donation for every P90 challenge pack I personally help match with someone this month, as well!! Its an amazing new program for folks new to fitness, recovering from injury, needing a gentle start, or just way off track.
