You might notice Im wearing my tutu today. I have it on because I’m still in the middle of my first rescue effort and there is one thing I have learned about rescue: Rescue situations are very much like a difficult dance. You know - like a dance you see on that show, Dancing wiff the Stars. Its a dance between two parties that isnt choreographed or rehearsed. There are no practices or rehearsals. Usually the parties have never met. And there is only one chance to make sure that dance is perfect. The first performance needs to be perfect because a life (or lives) depend on it. I have felt no greater pressure and Im beginning to see that there is no greater reward. So today I put on my big girl tutu and we dance... Things are progressing and we are hopeful that well have our furry friend here very soon. I will be sure to update all of you as I can. I just want to be careful how much I say until hes here and safe. But I promise to keep you posted. This is a really exciting situation and Im so happy to be playing a part in saving this boy. But until we have him in our arms, we are so far away. So please keep our furry friend in your thoughts and prayers, as he is not in a great situation at this time. And we just arent able to get him here as early as wed like. Who knew a 3 pound girl could really help to save a 70 pound boy? Weight really is just a number.
