You remember that not long ago I lost one of my Keats??? Well, the last two have decided that THEY will NOT be lost! They have adopted Emilio, my BIG rooster, to be their guardian. GOOD CHOICE! He is a handsome Barred Rock/Americana mix, (even though he is the biggest bird here, he really is a softy). They have abandon their roost to spend each night in the chicken shed, right at his side. They spend their days following him EVERYWHERE! They eat with him, drink with him, and from what I can tell, irritate him to NO END! But in the fashion of big brothers everywhere, he seems to dealing with it well. It is nice to see, because as I said, he is a big ol softy and Sophie, the other rooster, is kind of a bully and wont let him partake in ANY of the chickens games around here. At least he has some company now and my baby Keats feel safer
