You see fellas, both Christianity and Islam are logocentric - - TopicsExpress

You see fellas, both Christianity and Islam are logocentric - meaning they are focused on the word. In Christian tradition, the word became flesh - in the book of St. John "and the word was made flesh, and he dwelt among men." Therefore,it was acceptable to depict the word as having a human form. In Islamic tradition however, the word did not become flesh and therefore the word needs to remain inthe form of a word(just a word)...in most cases, calligraphic renderings of the names of the (un)holy figures of Islam. Consequent upon the above,my mind always ponder on the legitmacy of dear Mohammed, why not the Ishmealites apprehend their position adrift..just adrift? Well,i may just concur wit Prof. Brown who somtimes reiterates how some answers could be just bigger than the questions.
