You wanna know why the Republican party, especially here in Oklahoma, does everything they can to destroy education? They just simply cannot afford to let people figure out that global warming might, just might, be real...or that drilling to 35,000 feet under 4,100 feet of water in the Gulf of Mexico might, just might, be a problem when the profits-over-safety crowd forgot to develop proper safeguards...or that using an overworked skeleton crew on an oil tanker that the company knew had no working radar through the inaccessible waters in Prince William Sound might, just might, be a problem unless you can blame a guy who was asleep at the time of the accident...or that transcontinental pipelines might, just might, be a problem since there has been at least 1,400 spills in the US in just the last 3 years...or that using hydraulics to destroy subterranean layers of rocks formed over billions of years might, just might, cause earthquakes.
