You were born to be great. I had the opportunity to undertake a degree in Statistics at the University of Zimbabwe. As part of the programme we undertook various challenging and interesting courses that sharpened my brain and at times challenged my mind. The impact of our many professors and lecturers on me was unshakeable. One of our lecturers distilled statistics into the study of making decisions in uncertainty and analyzing complex situations and outcomes. I found the lectures in Analysis and Probability stimulating and challenging. I also found Time Series Analysis and Non-Parametric Statistics interesting. In it all I learnt is that however complex a situation may be, with the appropriate mind and technology tools you are able to model the situation, improve your understanding of it, test the model for reliability and therefore take decisions with an increased degree of confidence. You do not have to wait for a complicated mathematical or statistical model of a situation in order to decide. Get off the harness, take massive action and start happening. You cannot linger in indecision forever. Please do not wait for a bus that you do not know if it will ever come. Do not rot at a bus station that has no buses. Decide to take action. Greatness is your birthright.
