This weekend, the Valley Cultural Center presents, as its closing concert, Al McKay All-Stars, performing the music of Earth, Wind & Fire (EWF). Unlike other tribute bands featured during the summer concert season, Al McKay was one of the key members of EWF during its most popular period in the 70s and 80s, and this can be considered a sort of spin-off to the original group. He also co-wrote this song, so I felt it was appropriate to post it in preparation for this weekend. This is also the VCCs last regular concert of its 2014 summer concert season. Where has the time gone? I hope many of you took the opportunity to enjoy many of the fine concerts offered throughout the Southland over the past three months. While there will still be outdoor music offered through September (and in fact, Los Angeles offers outdoor concerts throughout the year), this unofficially marks for many of us, the time where we put away the folding tables and chairs and wait patiently for next years summer concert season, which will mark The Valley Cultural Centers 40th anniversary. https://youtube/watch?v=HBpsOu8jyU8
