Young Men, Old Boys and No Balls To begin, I want to apologize to a young man and his family for not holding old men accountable for their actions to the same standard of swift and profound penalty. For those of you that dont know, a young man was found to have had a trace of an illegal substance in his system. Within a certain amount of time after the investigation, a young man was notified that he would not be elgible to play in the first college football super bowl an equivalent of the NFL. Although the amount was minuscule, it was an amount none the less. Therefore, the NCAA enforced what was a stiff penalty for a first offense. Now for the old men who are suppose to be more mature than an 18 year old, whats the delay? Is there too much money at stake? After the investigation which I question? This may be a second time that the Patriots organization has been involved in a cheating scandal. Its amazing how I here comments from scientists, experts, current and former players ranting about how minuscule the inflation of a football would be and that that was not the reason for the colts loss. Are you kidding me, that is not the point. The point is 11 of 12 balls were not within the specified regulation of NFL rules. There should not be any delay in this investigation, and a ruling should be made that the Patriots are ineligible to play in the super bowl because of NFL rules violation. Therefore, the Colts should play in the super bowl due to forfeiture. Why you may ask? Its simple, just like the young man found to have a trace of an illegal substance it didnt matter to the NCAA if the young man got the substance directly or indirectly it was found in him period. The responsibility of the footballs lies squarely on the shoulders of the home team and it was found that the footballs were not in regulation. Theres need to know specifically which person did it or was involved. However, all you need to do is backtrack through the sign offs and youll know. I say this, hey NFL have the BALLS to act swiftly and enforce the penalty. With all the resources you have your investigation efforts isnt more efficient than the NCAA? Oh yeah, I forgot youre looking at the rating$$$$$$$! Cheaters never prosper said the person thats never been a champion!
