Your Call: Is making fun of religion a basic right of free speech? Nick Clegg says death threats made against a prospective Liberal Democrat candidate, who tweeted a cartoon showing Jesus and Muhammad greeting each other, are unacceptable. Maajid Nawaz, founder of the anti-extremist think-tank The Quilliam Foundation, tweeted the picture after he appeared on BBC Ones The Big Question where he was debating peoples right to wear T-shirts featuring the Jesus and Mo cartoon. More than 20,000 people have now signed a petition to have Mr Nawaz deselected. So why has he insulted so many people? Is it more important to protect free speech or protect religions from offence?
