Your Fitness Journey #1 Keep it Simple If you dont - TopicsExpress

Your Fitness Journey #1 Keep it Simple If you dont like to cook, look for recipes that arent complicated, and if you are a busy person, dont look for recipes that take a lot of your time. If you are on a budget, dont find a program that requires equipment you dont have. Life is already complicated enough, dont add to it. #2 Which brings me to this.....DO NOT OVERCOMPLICATE your workouts or nutrition. Its simple, 30 min a day and using a 85/20 plan is just fine. There are very many people who have seen results from that and can stick to it because its manageable. If you over complicate your journey, you will give up and have to start over AGAIN, thats if you decide to start over!! #3 Remember its a Journey! Its not a trip to the gas station. Its more like a trip across the country. Its going to take time. #4 Its going to be Rocky!! Just like any other journey you take, the roads are not always going to be smooth, and its not always going to have Sunshine. There will be bumps and potholes! There will be stormy days. But whats on the other side of a storm?? A Rainbow!! #5 Set Goals!! Give yourself an end date! Do you have an event to lose weight for?? A run to train for? A competition to train for? This will help keep you motivated and give you something to look forward to! #6 Find something you love. If you are not a fan of cardio, dont make it the focus of your workouts...do it 2 times a week. The same goes for weights. Just make sure you change it up every 3 to 4 weeks, your body will get bored as well as your mind!! #7 Do not compare!! Everyones journey is different. We are at different phases with our journey, we have different obstacles, we have different restrictions, schedules, budgets and so on! Keep the focus on YOU!!! #8 Make yourself your inspiration. I used to follow fitness models and competitors on instagram, They were my fitspirations! But I began to do their journeys and was sabotaging mine. Our bodies were different, our meal requirements were different. I had to start doing my own thing. So again, keep the focus on YOU!! #9 Stay consistent but not obsessed. Determining on your end result, dont over due it. If you are not training for a run, competition, triathlon, or whatever. There is no reason you need to be in the gym 7 days a week, 2 hours at a time. You will injure yourself, burn yourself out and either give up and put yourself out of working out because you have to rest for 6 weeks. Be smart!! Listen to your body, give yourself rest days! It is essential to your journey! #10 Schedule your workouts! Write in a calendar and post your workouts where you can see them! Do them weekly, because if you try to schedule them all at once, you may not commit to them or be able to fit them in. Life will get the way and your journey will take a back seat. There are other priorities besides working out and cooking meals. Live your life and be there for those who need you. Last tip.... ENJOY YOURSELF!! This is suppose to be a lifestyle change, not a quick fix. Relax, have fun and dont beat yourself up if things dont happen fast or if you miss a workout or if you eat a box of donuts!! We are human!! Enjoy your treat and move on!
