Your Mileage May Vary but this is how I define rares based on acquisition and circumstances. Feel free to ask questions. First Class Rare (Ultra Rare) Items with less than a thousand units produced or even just a few handsigned pieces. e.g.: BakuTech Chimera Tavanel (Obtainable only by a Subscription Gift Lucky Draw of -100 individuals) Second Class Rare (Super Rare) Items that cannot be purchased through normal means and only a few thousand units produced along with limited time offer scheme. This includes contest entry required, tournament victory required, raffle prizes and such. e.g.: Naked Snake Sneaking Suits Version Zero Play Arts Kai Action Figure BakuTech Bakugan Sechs Tavanel and Gif Jinryu Crossfight B-Daman Spike=Phoenix Third Class Rare (Very Rare) Items that cannot easily be purchased in retail stores or the entire country itself. Usually released only through events and festivals but have at least tens to a hundred thousand units produced. e.g.: Any Comic Con exclusive Play Arts Kai Action Figures Fourth Class Rare (Rare) Items that cannot easily be purchased in retail stores but are generously-produced in terms of (hundred thousand to 1 million units). Usually given away as Magazine Subscription Gift or Game Bundles. e.g.: Spike Lizard and the other Coro Coro Magazine Beyblades; White Raiden Play Arts Kai. Fifth Class Rare (Uncommon) Items that cannot easily be purchased in retail stores but are abundant in quantity (More than 1 million units produced worldwide). Usually given away as Tournament Prizes or Contest Rewards. e.g.: The Beyblade "Infinity Libra GB145BS" which used to be a reward only obtainable by attaining 27k BeyTa Points but was eventually given away as the most common Tournament prize in the Ban Kee Tournaments.
