Your exclusive Observations for Thursday May 22nd 630am update Another bright & clear dawn with calm to light variables; late morning land/sea breeze mush, cloud build up; good weve been getting the evening glass offs. Minus 0.2 Low at 530am pushes to a small 1.3 High tide at 1215pm dropping out to a 0.5 at 6pm. NORTH: Up and holding on a micro 11 second WNW at a smooth glassy Fl-1 occ 2 at Sunset Pt, Chuns etc; still great for diving and paddling; bumpy onshores coming late morn. West: Makaha is up a pinch on the WNW to 1...and down alittle on the S swell at 0-2 (long lulls of nothing to move on); other select spots on the Westside are 1-2 barely 3; and smooth and glassy, but onshore kona winds building later this morning; Town: Ala Moana, Kaisers, etc. down and dropping on the 16 second South at 1-2 occ 2.5 on the sets (chance of 3 footers on higher tide; clean and smooth in the am with increasing onshores late morning; Diamond Head: Holding on the south at a smooth, classic 2-3 occ 4 sets; with again choke people out; seabreezes increasing through the morning making for more bumpiness. Sandys: Down a pinch on the old S at a solid smooth 1-2 occ 3 and waves focused at 1/2 point, Full Pt, and Pipelittles; continuing hollow, thumpy, closing shorepound; lotta photogs in line up again since its so clear, bright and glassy. East: Makapuu: Lake Makapuu Down and Holding on the weak trade swell at a smooth 0-1 and great diving along the entire windward side.
