Your previous success is your greatest enemy. Always be in competition with it. Yippie, Ive made it. I passed my matric. Im done studying. Ever had that feeling or heard people say that? Well I know at some point I have and I bet you can relate as well. Problem with this statement is that it limits the ability to express your fullest potential. And at times you become successful at one thing and then relax. When I was doing my first year, one of my lecturers once said Ever since you registered my module, youll never stop learning. I had to understand that after some few introspection sessions. Indeed, one never stops learning. The worst mistake we make in life is to stop! We get to relaxed with our previous success that we forget that there more to to do. Theres greater exploits we need to achieve. There are many relationships to make, many avenues to travel. When someone is still stuck in their previous success, youll hear them say When I was...I used to... Ive witnessed how my previous success deprived me the opportunity to become progressive. I was always celebrating my previous success and telling people about it. I forgot that it was just a stepping stone to many more to come. Yes youve done your best in the past, yes you were the best in the past, but NOW, TODAY is the day to become more... Theres more to come your way, dont be stuff in your previous success. Be in competition with it! Turn I used to be great, good, and smart to Im be-coming GREATER, BETTER, and BE WISER because new challenges needs new strategies. @abutirams
