Psalm 110:3 If we were invited by a president or a king to attend an official gathering, the first question to come to mind would probably be, “What am I going to wear?” We’ve all seen those red-carpet events where stars stroll before the cameras in their designer clothes. But when Jesus extends His scepter to grant us an audience, we won’t have to scurry to our closet or call a stylist. The Priest-King will array us in holiness…His holiness. Before the great flood, the earth was watered each morning with dew. The beauty of the psalmist’s “dew of your youth” metaphor is its freshness and purity. Even when we are young, fresh, and pure, we consecrate ourselves to the Lord’s service. Dressed in His holiness, we are willing servants of the Lord our God, ready to do battle in the service of our amazing King. O Lord, clothe me in your righteous holiness and lift up my head to praise you.
