Youth Basketball Program: A Coed Youth Basketball Program is for grades K-6th. This program is designed to teach all children the fundamentals of basketball. We encourage them to enjoy themselves throughout the season. This program does not stress competition but rather, recreation and good sportsmanship. Age & Division: Teams will be grouped in three divisions: K-1st grade (fundamental instructional league), 2nd & 3rd grade, 4th-6th grades. K-1 will meet on Saturdays beginning January 3rd thru February 7th from 9:30 to 10:15 AM. The 2/3 and 4/6 divisions will meet Saturdays January 3rd thru February 7th, from 10:30 AM to 3 PM. Schedules will be available at the first practice and online. Coaches will notify players of the time of their first practice. There is no guarantee that your child will be placed on a specific team at your request. Please plan accordingly. All requests must be written on registration form by both parties and must be done so prior to the deadline date. The Keene Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to limit registration and participation in any program. Keene Parks and Recreation also reserves the right to effect other changes in the program, including but not limited to date and time changes, registration limit and others, as may be required. Location: The program is held at Keene Recreation Center on 312 Washington Street Fee: Resident is $45.00 and non-resident is $60.00. The cost of this program includes a Basketball jersey for each participant. Please make all checks out to City of Keene.
