Youth Ministry Visioning Team With transitions in staff, budget, technology, and generations - youth ministry in the Diocese of Olympia is entering into a time of visioning and discernment. Youth Ministry Architects, a nationally recognized youth consulting firm, has been retained to assess and support us in visioning our future. Their team will be here March 28-30, 2014 to help us to evaluate where we are and where we want to go. Leslie Manning, Diocesan Youth Director in Alabama, and Dave Sippel, senior youth consultant, will want to meet with as many of YOU as possible. They will return on June 20-22, 2014 for a 3-day visioning/retreat. 25 people, half of whom will be youth or recent graduates, will be invited to participate. An application process will begin in 2014 for those that would like to apply to be part of the weekend. It is our hope that this group will reflect a variety of interests, regions, and types of youth groups and programming from around the Diocese. We will put a link up on our website: ecww.org/youth as well as a link on this newsletter when the application is available. In the meantime, JYC & HYC continue on with the support of a great team of conveners including D Bracher, Ian Gardner, Denise Brumbuagh, Janice Higby, and Robert Graham.
