Youth and Bal Samagam held in Ropar in Punjab A youth-cum-Bal Samagam was held in the Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Ropar in Punjab on Sunday, July 7, 2013. More than 600 children and youth from different age-groups from 7 to 30 years participated. They came from Ropar and 14 other branches of the Mission from the adjoining areas. The participants presented a variety of items like stone painting, Antakshri on Avtar Bani, Quiz programme on the books including ‘Gurudev Hardev’ and ‘Adarsh Pariwar’, essay competition and speech contest. They sought to highlight the various aspects of the Mission’s ideology including Oneness, universal brotherhood and human unity. Through an event named as ‘10 pin bowling game’, the participant showed how God-knowledge helps man to overcome vices like ego, anger, greed etc. They also put up an exhibition to create awareness about the need to control pollution. The Samagam was organised by youths of Ropar under guidance of Sanyojak Rev Sudarshan Kaur Walia and associated Adhikaris. All the members of Ropar Sangat contributed their best to make this Samagam a success. Rev A.S.Khokhar Ji from Mohali presided. He appreciated the Samagam specially for the efforts of the youths. He admired that youths are following the teachings of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj. In the end, Rev Sudarshan Kaur Walia Ji thanked all the saints and participants for their co-operation. * * *
