Youth helping wolves! bit.ly/1jTmPOQ As we celebrate our new page for kids, we would like to feature this 9 year old red wolf advocate who has created her own fundraising page for wolves. Here is what she wrote to Red Wolf Coalition I am only 9 but I still have a strong and growing passion for wolves. Last year, I sold Dippin-Dots at my school for several days (and kept selling a table full of wolf art that I drew). I did it to raise money for wolves to come to my school and spread wolf education. It was a grand accomplishment. You can see a picture of me with Kisska, a white colored wolf ambassador. Sadly she died very young from cancer soon after I met her. I raised my goal to $500 on crowd rise because I’m going to try and think of more fundraising projects to help your cause. Also, my friend is donating her share of the yard sale money to this charity too because I tell her about wolves and she loves them too now. Her name is Haley and Im going to make her a team member on my crowd rise webpage tomorrow. It’s nice to know that even with all the bad wolf folklore, there are still people who love and appreciate these truly amazing and majestic animals. When my mom heard that you wanted to put the link on Facebook, she was so happy and thought it was a great idea. I think it’s a great idea too, and that you’re clever to think of that. I’m glad you like wolves and want to make a change like me. And, it was smart to do it for red wolves- the most critically endangered species of wolf. Again, I really thank you for making a change in wolf survival. P.S Say Hi to Betty and Hank for me and tell them I love them. Please donate to Callies fundraiser if you can!
