Yow! Im excited about this one. Just got back on Friday from Mundial Montréal, where David Buchbinders Odessa/Havana delivered a really great showcase, yes, and I heard amazing performances form other Canadian and international artists, yes! But what hit me most of all was how great our community of musicians (and dancers, theatre folks, artistic directors, etc.) is and how much strength we can all find by coming together in as many ways as possible. For sure in gigs like this one, where we will bring together two powerhouse ensembles with a Mandate to Celebrate the season (can wait to experience our combined set list!), but also to find the ways and times to come together off the stage, to envision and dream and play and celebrate as a community of the music-besotted. Selah!
