Garucha ochen daje simpatichniy gorod s krasivoy portovoi naberejnoi. We are finally going back home!!! That was yesterday. Extremely calm blue sea with an endless horizon. Sharks feeding on birds. Dolphins playing and following us. Totally amazing experience. Today we left early to avoid forecasted easterly winds. First hour was like driving across a lake so flat and peaceful and driving directly into the sunrise. Then as we changed bearing having reached the far side of Almeria bay we were confronted by huge swells at first which soon became swells of 5-8 meters height along with waves . It was like being in a movie. ( Storm with George Clooney) . After a few hours of the biggest roller coaster I have ever ever experienced the decission was taken to take a rest in the nearest port. Only problem it was a commercial port only so no mooring fuel etc.So it was back to battle the eliments and impliment plan B . Garrucha the haven a mere 25 miles away which was only possible with some incredible Zig-Zag ing. Smashing over waves and swells followed by riding them the other way to reach our desired destination. At times we were like a surfer riding the dream wave yet on a 10 tonne boat doing 40MPG looking down as we were lifted . Funny why we didnt see any other vessels on route....... :)
