I am not so sure if you remember me exactly, this is Lena, we spoke a few times before (including that one 3h conversation when you were at a hotel). I was telling you how unhappy I was with my new grad rn situation. Although I knew that it was great experience and will benefit me, it bugged me that I wasnt exactly where I wanted to be. Then I spoke to you and you gave me some clarity and tips. I also bought your book in the summer. I am messaging you to let you know that I have a full time offer on a pediatric unit (my current job is pediatric home care) at a hospital 4 hours away from home. I have decided to take it. So at least its still drivable distance. I thought you would also like to hear that my wage will increase $8 per hour, and since Im night shift its actually more like $12 more per hour! And I was part time at my current job but this is full time! Thank you so much for all your time and advice youve given me. Also thank you for writing your book. Im sure youve received many appreciation letters already for it but seriously, you changed my views in a positive way. I dont want to stay at my new job forever either because the location isnt too ideal, but Im so glad about everything else. The manager seems super duper nice and Im beyond excited!
