ZEEMAANNEH----ZEEMAANNEH...The Liberia Media for Democratic Initiatives, LMDI, the facilitator of THE DIALOGUE announces that it will hold a one day interactive DIALOGUE forum with the incumbent and senator elect, JEWEL HOWARD TAYLOR and some of the losers(candidates) in the 2014 Special Senatorial Election in BONG County on Saturday January 3, 2015 at the William V.S. Tubman City HALL in SALALA. At Saturdays forum, JEWEL TAYLOR and some of her colleagues will come together to meet the people of SALALA District in talking the general acceptance of the elections results and the way forward for the county in particular and Liberia in general. Senator Elect JEWEL TAYLOR and two other candidates, RANNEY JACKSON and MARTIN KERKULAH have already accepted to DIALOGUE with the Senator Elect and SALALA District people around working together to galvanize progress and development in BONG. The LMDI will also ignite discussions are avoiding future constitutional electoral timeline complications per the current elections schedule, SECOND TUESDAY IN OCTOBER OF EACH ELECTION YEAR---Article 83 (A) which almost stopped the special senatorial elections. The SALALA DIALOGUE will seek to address this provision, vis-à-vis the ongoing constitutional review exercise. In mature democracies, when elections are over, the winners and losers collaborate and work together to engender progress, the LMDI sees this as pivotal to Liberia’s recovery from its present shackles and therefore seeks to have the contenders in the just ended elections cooperate and for the good of Liberia. The LMDI requests the people of SALALA District come in their numbers to meet and discuss with their senator elect JEWL TAYLOR and other former contenders who continuously want to be their leaders now and in the future.
