ZEPHYR — The Zephyr Bulldogs avenged last year’s 45-point rule loss to Oakwood by returning the favor Friday night, and staying undefeated. Zephyr (2-0) rushed for 205 yards and added 126 through the air for a 331-yard output in total offense. Bradley Lewis passed for 126 yards and three touchdowns, while Dylan Croaker ran for 78 yards and also scored three times. Lewis and Jaydon Ezra both rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown, while Bishop Norman chipped in a 22-yard scoring sprint and caught two passes for 46 yards with a touchdown. Ezra grabbed a 37-yard touchdown pass and Jayden Choat hauled in a 13-yard scoring reception as well. Jacob King chipped in 9 yards on the ground and a 13-yard reception, while Seth Jesko caught a 17-yard pass. Defensively, Lewis’ 13 tackles were a team-high and he also intercepted a pass. Choat finished with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery, Croaker notched five tackles and caused a fumble and Newton posted four tackles with a pair of fumbles caused. Zephyr will seek its third consecutive victory next week as it ventures to TAPPS Six-Man Division I No. 7 Watauga Harvest (1-1), which is coming off a 66-19 loss to Lucas Christian. ——— Victory Life 24, Fort Worth Covenant 6
