ZIRO, SEPT 13TH From Yachang Tacho On successful completion of second batch of ‘One month motor driving training’ organized by Taro Opey Foundation (TOF) in collaboration with District Transport Officer (DTO), Ziro for unemployment youth of Hija village, a valedictory function was organized here at Tailyang Dukung Nyello, Kundo today. Attending the programme as special guest, Lower Subansiri district Zilla chairperson Hage Kobing while appreciating TOF for taking up such an innovative and yeoman services especially for the unemployment youths and the society as a whole, he appeal other NGOs to learn a lesson from their activities. TOF, who promote Tapi Mra to scale Mt. Everest, is today giving more such training to unemployed youths which is another milestone in its credit, he added. Stating that this job oriented training will help trainees to become an expert driver in future to earn their livelihood, Kobing encouraged TOF to continue its services for the cause of the society by giving such training to unemployed youths. In the occasion, he released the audio cassette containing ‘Flag Song’ of All Students Union of Taro Taku which was composed by Lt. Leegang Tachang, lyrics by TOF’s secretary Taro Talo and sung by Taku Halyang and Pura Ralyang. R P Gupta, MVI Ziro who attended the programme on behalf of DTO Ziro said that the training programme conducted by the TOF is first of its kind in the state where an NGO is imparting driving training to unemployed youths on free of cost. Observing that most of the vehicular accident occurs due to negligence of driver, Gupta who monitored the entire training programme cautioned all the successful trainees to be careful while driving vehicles. Earlier, TOF secretary Taro Tallo, in his speech while highlighting the activities taken up by the foundation since its inception in 2007 has disclosed that first batch of driving training was conducted last year. Sponsored by Rajya Sabha MP Mukut Mithi, this second batch of trainees with 10 unemployed youths mostly dropout students have been given training. Our motive of giving training is to boost the confidence of unemployed youths and make them self dependent, he added. He expressed his gratitude to MP for the support and the DTO for giving technical guidance to trainees. The host village’s ZPM Dani Buker while appreciating TOF appealed every section of society to support and cooperate such NGOs who are really giving services for the benefit of the society. Taking reference to an instance when Tapi Mra, first Arunachalee Everester posted the TOF’s flag at world’s highest peak on Mt. Everest, he suggested TOF’s office bearers to carry on its service to bring its name as high as Everest peak. The dignitaries distributed the completion certificate and driving licenses to the ten successful participants. Earlier, the ZCP inaugurated the TOF’s office and the Tailyang Dukung Nyello. Hija ACP Nada Tado, DAO Dani Yubbe, GBs, PRI members and senior citizens of Hija village also attended the function.
