Zambia Revenue Authority Jobs July 2013 In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring the optimisation of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on the one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast changing business environment on the other, we are seeking a highly motivated, result-oriented, well-qualified and experienced professional to fill the following vacancy in the Finance Division. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR – TREASURY – GRADE ZRA03 (1 POSITION) Reporting directly to the Director Finance, the jobholder will be required to monitor and account for the banking of all ZRA Revenue and verify the accuracy of all treasury transactions in order to provide management and other stakeholders with timely information on tax revenues collected, refunded and held at Stations, Cash Offices, Commercial Banks and the Bank of Zambia. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES • To facilitate proper receipting, accounting and banking intact, of all tax collected. • To facilitate secure and timely processing of refunds. • To refund claims as they fall due to taxpayers. • To account for all treasury transactions in accordance with acceptable accounting standards. • To facilitate a system of controlling the sourcing, storage, distribution and monitoring usage of all accountable documents under treasury and issued to stations. • To ensure that there is an efficient system of monitoring the transfer and reconciliation of tax revenues from revenue collecting points onto the Commercial Banks and ultimately to the Bank of Zambia. • To provide adequate and timely management information to assist operating Divisions achieve their revenue profiles. • Manage liaison with Divisional/Station Management on revenue collection matters and best treasury management practices. • Manage liaison with Banks and enforce agreed performance standards. REQUIREMENTS • Grade Twelve (12) Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) equivalent. • University Degree in Accountancy and/or professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CPA. • Minimum five (5) years post qualifying relevant work experience at managerial level. • Must be a Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
