Zambian Writer or Biter? [List of writers included] Am not a biter am a writer. You have heard Hip-Hop heads know who said that. It was Jay-Z who has been accused of biting rhymes from other lyricists like Snoop Dog, Rakim Big Daddy Kane,Notorious B.I.G, Slick Rick and not forgetting Nas.Nas and Cameron exposed him but Jay-Z replied he was only trying to big up his brother ,at least on Biggys side. Its common nowadays to hear an idea or lyrics written before. I got a list of 1,000 greatest songs and more than 350 greatest albums ever since i started listening to Hip-Hop. Everyday i try to listen to critically acclaimed albums or songs hve never heard before. I have been following Zed Hip-Hop too way before Dunka was categorised as Rap/Hip-Hop by judges,DJ’S,fans nabambi. I have stayed in Kopala and LSK where Zed Hip-Hop is big. Followed radio shows and bought or downloaded a lot of mixtapes and albums. Am not from the old school but from the school that has dudes wearing jeans they can hardly zip up. I have seen Rap transform from poetry to comedy and Hip-Hop social inner urban life styles to swag. Despite me being from this new era of comedy , I never lost map of real Hip-Hop a reason why the ZHHJ brought me in. With that I can easily spot written or stolen rhymes.Most songs that sound unique today were once written. I have not heard any copy and paste song or photocopied lyrics by C.R.I.$.I.$ ,Ray Grams,Shimasta,Pompi, Mag 44, Yung Slim [watchout for this boy],Pilato,Sooshamatics [R.I.P],Crystal Shaun [R.I.P], Chile Lemba,Masta Flow, Tommy D,Tylo, Al Kan-I, The Holstar, Bmak, Black Muntu [duo],Kstar, Toxiq, Bugzy, Toosick, Klappa Heiz,TK, Joe Chibangu,Dope G,Andy P,Juggernauts [group],Exile,Nana,Caesar Cognac,Marvel,32 Karat,K.R.Y.T.I.C, Conscious, Street Bangers [Group],Lyricist, Joz J,Yellow Dove, Mr Bruce,Sobre and Rizon Risen. No disrespect to my fellow brothers and sisters have left out. This an article based on my findings. I don’t know about the rest but as far as am concerned ,these are the emcees I have never heard of copying songs or lyrics. Not saying those listed are better but I have not heard any song,rhyme or even rap styles jacked from another rapper. There is what we a call a cover. These are commonly found on mixtapes. Some rappers dont indicate because they want to make it look like they are the ones who made it first. I take that as a photocopy and i cant be sued if i mention one song because its not inidcated that it is cover. Sometimes rappers recycle lines done by others to big up somebodys line but still you can notice if somebody is copying or saluting somebodys effort. There are also coincidences but in the courts of law excuses doesn’t count. It may be a coincidence and it may not be.These emcees I mentioned mastered their style not jacking american emcees style. There is a difference between a rapper and a rap artist and there is a difference between a rapper and an emcee. Emcees spit legally whereas rappers illegally. If skills sold ,the above could have been famous than Iris. If am wrong you can prove me by indicating their songs or lyrics that you feel are photocopies? -Pinky
