Zephyr led the small procession as he, Sequana and Ruger each carried one of the pups to the clearing around the summer den. He sat down the stuggling Cian, whose eyes retained their puppy blue. His mate released Moonsteam and Ruger sat down Riverstar. The three pups eagerly explored the area while Zephyr left to re-mark the old borders. Along the edge of their territory, he caught a scent he thought he would never smell again. The name slipped out in a whisper, "Nicodemus."
