Ziggy came to us a stray in bad shape. Did I say bad? I meant horrible. Hernia, sorely infected & swollen ears, entropion (eyelids fold inward), and cigarette burns all over. This girl had every reason to lay down and never get up. But she didnt. When some of us might have thrown in the proverbial towel, Ziggy pressed on, somehow instinctively knowing its always darkest before the dawn. A litany of staff and volunteers worked their butts off making sure the sun would rise on this girls world. And despite the crappy weather today, out of the clouds came Ziggys family! There was nary a dry eye in the house as Ziggy meant a lot to many, and the look on everyones faces when they found out she was going home was a mix of dont cry dont cry dont cry and holy $h!tballs! Terry Conroy almost fainted ;) Despite all her trials and tribulations, Ziggy has one thing to say to her previous owners: How do you like me now?! #TeamSPCA
