Zipped into town (in my car) to catch a movie yesterday afternoon, and miscalculated the time-of-exit from the theatre, (they played way too many trailers!). My plan was to park the car at work and ride the 18 miles home, with arrival just as the sun set. Didnt factor an extra 30 minutes, nor the arrival of a pretty massive thunderstorm. That 18 miles (29km) is 90% uphill, getting progressively steeper as I approach home (which is on the conical hill as I pan left at one point in the video.) This video is from about 5 minutes after sunset, about 80% of the way home. The view is amazing, and the air was positively electric. It went totally dark about 10 minutes after and I found my way by lightning flashes.
