Zoom had a huge accomplishment today! SHE WENT UP THESE STAIRS... BY HERSELF. .. WITH NO ASSISTANCE! Jolene has been working with her on this for the past couple nights and she learned quick! In this video, its actually the 2nd time she did the stairs by herself because someone (Jolene) forgot to push record! Lol! For those of you that are new here, Zoom was a four month old puppy who was not able to use her hind legs at all when we rescued her! She came all the way from Texas and immediately we got her her very own wheelchair! We started her on acupuncture with Dr. Bright at Legacy Animal Medical Center. She started to regain the use of her hind end but not in the traditional way. She is called a spine walker because the movement in her legs actually comes from communication and reflexes in her foot and her spine. Her brain does not actually tell her feet what to do. Zoom made huge progress in the first 4 months that we had her and she was able to stand up on her own, she started to walk on her own, and even started to run! Now, you cant get this girl to stand still! She is very independent and fearless! A social butterfly like no other! WAY TO GO ZOOM!
