Zron - Todesschwadron: 5/10 As generally known there are people in the underground who dont take a stock in Zorn and their products. Although I basically dont give a damn about rumours and gossip the group could convince me partial up to now. It was by rule of my thumb granted to only three pieces of their last album Menschenfeind to rip permanent scratches into my mind, the rest directed in boring mean and the partly kitschy titles and lyrics did the rest. So the tension was high, whether the band could in 2005 finally accomplish mobilising their never short potential in shape, to leave a permanent impression. Im sorry to say that they did not succeed. Because once again the evocative developments fail to appear and they confine themselves in doing their own, as far as possible known scheme of playing diversified and mangy produced Black Metal though as far as possible without climaxes that weeps of miscellaneous stereotypes, so that moderate enthusiasm arises. Dont get me wrong, I am the last one annoyed at the obtainment of old values packed in a dose of noise. Unfortunately it is not suffice to me to stare of all the bolts and cartridges to abstain the group of female vocals and keyboards, though not to be able to give it a musically adequate setting. But they do some would say listening to what they feature here, though to my ears it needs more than playing around skilfully and variably. Hundreds of others can do so, too. Menschenfeind offered in some parts more, the average rules over Todesschwadron, sadly so because I know that the band is able to do better. youtube/watch?v=cJN7jar4_yM
