Thursday sees any fog clearing early to bring a mix of sunshine & some cloud. There will be good spells / periods of warm sunshine for most areas through the day with temps getting up to around 19 or 20 degrees. Very light winds overall. Thursday night is mainly dry. Winds will become N/NW and freshen a little. Friday starts dry and bright with good sunshine breaking through but a band of showers, in the west and north will gradually push south during the day. Although it may cloud up, the the very south & southeast will likely stay dry until evening or night and may escape altogether. Temps around 20 to 21 degrees. Friday Night sees any remaining showers in southern areas dying out. Winds will stay moderate N/NW. Saturday is a largely dry day with a mix of cloud and sunshine - the sunshine varying. Cooler with temps 17 or 18 degrees in moderate N/NW winds. Depending on exactly where an anticyclone may anchor itself over the weekend, the highly likely scenario from Sunday to Wednesday sees it staying largely dry but some mist & fog may occur at times. Amounts are likely to be small though. Winds will stay light to moderate and vary in direction from S to NE. Theres a good chance of plenty of sunshine with just some cloud at times. Temps will may a good recovery in the north, and will likely get up into the low twenties for much of Ireland - however, easterly breezes mat take the top off these at times in the east. There are hints of an interruption from the west shortly after middle of next week and things are uncertain from here. However, the better weather may hold on longer. IRELAND / N. IRELAND Thursday sees fog clearing most places early to bring a mix of sunshine & some cloud. There will be good spells / periods of warm sunshine for most areas through the day with temps getting up to between 19 in the east and 22 in the west. It will gradually cloud up in the west as the day goes on with a chance of some rain or drizzle. The risk of a few scattered showers elsewhere. Very light winds overall. Thursday night sees some rain or drizzle in the west and north but amounts will likely be small. Winds will become N/NW and freshen a little. Friday starts dry and bright in the south and east with good sunshine breaking through but a band of showers, some prolonged, in the west and north will gradually push south during the day with some heavier ones possible. Dry weather following into the NW. The very south & southeast will likely stay dry until evening or night and some areas here may escape altogether. Temps, 15 to 21, NW to SE in moderate N/NW winds. Friday Night sees any remaining showers in southern areas dying out. Winds will stay moderate N/NW. Saturday is a largely dry day with a mix of cloud and sunshine - the sunshine varying from place to place. Cool in the north - temps 14 to 18 degrees, north to south, in moderate N/NW winds.
