(Matthew 6:12 AMP) _______________________________________________ I absolutely love how The amplified version of the Bible says that in order to truly forgive, it means that we have to give up resentment against our debtors and let go of their debts. God doesnt just want us to say a little forgiveness prayer...he wants to FREE US from the lingering anger, bitterness, pain, and crushed expectations for that person to have acted or treated us differently. It means giving up the desire to live in the past or change our present reality. Forgiving someone means choosing to press forward without carrying the burdens that their actions left you shackled with. Its so difficult to forgive, often times due to pride, but sometimes its due to a broken heart. LISTEN CLOSELY: The reality is that not everyone is going to love you well. Not everyone is going to treat you right. Not everyone is going to stay true to their promises or be a man/woman of their word. Were all human. But at some point, I pray that Holy Spirit does a mighty work in you like he is doing in me right now. Hes miraculously freeing me from the person who hurt me the most. For the first time in almost a year, he no longer controls me or my emotions. What he did to me doesnt have a hold over me anymore, because I know my WORTH, and I know how ACCEPTED I am in Christ. One of the most POWERFUL ways you can show His love is by forgiving someone for something that they feel in their heart is unforgivable. Releasing them from their guilt/shame. A love that covers ALL offenses. Anything less than that kind of love ISNT of God. Its weak, diluted love. I pray for the TRUE BELIEVERS to rise up and start representing how much Christ loves you by forgiving those around you who have screwed up beyond repair. No one is ever too far gone...no one is unloveable. Love yall. #HealingHisWay
