a few revelations: 1. The world is much bigger than my room, nation, country. Its huge and amazing and fantastic. Its terrifyingly harsh and will break you down a thousand times. The only logical way to persevere is through love. 2. They always love you and leave you, or claim its too little or too much. Love them anyways. Grow no resentment; its the way the world works. 3. Purification can only be attained through fire. Pain and suffering form and shape us. 4. Stability is an illusion. Its a way of avoiding reality and intense emotion. Instead, seek adventure. 5. Single, seemingly obsessive attachment to one person or thing can be either detrimental or helpful. Do it anyway. Dont think about suppressing emotion. Thats instinctual, it will always appear but in different forms. Whatever happens, youll rise more beautiful from the ashes. 6. Scars are beautiful. Theyre testaments to humanness; to both strength and weakness, but most of all -- survival. 7. Never conform, yet always remember to be humble. 8. Be intimate, but careful. Youll always get hurt. 9. Three things are important: understanding, love, and learning. 10. We are all helplessly in need of one another. It’s true that no man is an island, but isolation is crucial to self development.
