a few weeks ago, I met a young girl leading Worship at a local church. In our talk, she mention she was raising money to record her first cd. She asked if I would write a song for the project. As she was telling me her thoughts and dreams, a light came on in my head. A few month ago, I was told by a friend that he was building a studio in his back house. I was also told I could record there any time free of charge. I would gladly take up this offer, but. his studio is in San Francisco. I gave my friend a call, not telling the girl,if nothing could be done. I shared with him her excitement and struggle with the finances. He said he would see what he could do. Well this morning she called me. She starts recording her cd in Jan. All studio cost, all musician cost and living expenses are being covered by my friend and his wife. In his excitement, he has found companies who will donate cost of all cd packaging. All donating their services just ask their names are on the cd. I am excited for her. Our simple talk led to another conversation which let to the project being planned. Im glad I was able to help her out.
