actor Béla Lugosi... Remastered et Restored on dvd... The recent years have seen a few restored blu-ray releases of classic Lugosi films. Dracula (1931) Coinciding with Universal Pictures 100th anniversary, in October 2012 several of their classics were restored and released on Blu-ray. Restorations included Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, and of course Dracula. White Zombie (1932) Many versions of this movie that youll find are in pretty bad quality. Which is a pity because it features one of Lugosis highest regarded and most well-known roles as zombie puppeteer Murder Legendre. Released in January 2013, this restored version of White Zombie has received mostly positive reviews. The Devil Bat (1940) A bit of a surprising blu-ray release is 1940s Devil Bat. Usually regarded as a b-grade horror film, its not one many might have thought would get restored any time soon. This blu-ray has been released by Kino Classics, the same company which released the White Zombie blu-ray. I havent yet seen the Devil Bat restoration myself but the below review makes it sound very promising.
