Whoever you are, I am praying for you as I sit here now, William against my chest fast asleep, scrolling through my phone when I should really be trying to sleep myself. I am tired, I am run down, my house has several chores that need to be done, laundry is backing up, dirty dishes are in the sink, I have overdue thank you notes to write to generous friends, I have phone calls to return, I have a master to-do list thats been in the making since July for house projects... Yet the only thing I could do today was hold my baby boy, keep him fed, clean and loved on at all times and be with family. Do those other things get done? Sure, eventually. But for now Im embracing the struggle that is balancing caring for another tiny person and yourself while soaking in all its beauty and praying for all the other mothers & fathers out there doing this just like us. Savor the moments.
