Those nominated have two choices: -Take a whipped cream pie to de face, and donate $7 to Childhood Cancer Research -Forego the pie and donate $46 The numbers signify the 46 children daily who are diagnosed with cancer, and the 7 children per day who lose that battle. Ah took part in this in memory of Madox Suzio, who passed away in August at the age of 9 due to DIPG, a tumour that develops in the pons of the brain, rendering it inoperable. It develops only in children, and there have been no significant advancements in treatment in over 30 years. Less than 5% of all monies donated to Cancer charities are earmarked for paediatric cancer research. Ah have chosen to support thecurestartsnow.org as it is strictly a DIPG charity. gktw.org (Give Kids The World) is also worth supporting as it provides terminally-ill children and their families the opportunity for a fantasy vacation, in the same vein as Childrens Wish Foundation and other similar organizations (Their website is much better than Ah at articulating their goals).
