allrecipes/recipe/kentucky-bourbon-balls/ Im gonna try making this tomorrow. I have one cup of pecans and one cup of walnuts marinating in some mid range Kentucky bourbon. I did NOT use my Blantons, (too expensive) Eagle Rare (still wrapped up under the tree) , or Woodford Reserve - (just because). I DID use a name brand Kentucky Bourbon that I have sipped on the rocks. I usually use if for glaze. It was an acceptable sip so it will be good to eat. I am a bit intimidated by the instructions to fold. I cant fold fitted sheets, so how am I gonna fold butter and sugar? An insider suggested to add paraffin to the chocolate. The idea of dipping chilled butter, sugar and drunk nuts into a hot pot of chocolate without the whole thing melting on me doesnt compute - I kinda understand the paraffin. This adventure is inspired by my personal enabler, Col. Mark Jackson. It is for Ashlyn and Emily - just because I think they will like it. I will offer a sacrificial snort to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels as an offering to success in not producing a chocolate mess and wasting good - ok - acceptable whisky.
