+amgD we circled around back to Lake Street to get pictures for you, Carl VanderWouden ; but it means little that I did, since I would for anyone anytime; whats significant is that my mom and Mercedes did with me q:-) I think that in this day and affluent part of the world, what I think significant is not giving others material things--it only seems that way because material things make us possessive. But what is significant to me is when people give up for others the two things that no matter where or when we are, are always scarce and can only be given once, never gotten back: time and effort. The one thing that is surprising is that we know work certainty that this is not characteristic in any way to our busy modern lives; this has always been the most precious sacrifice that we humans have always been unwilling to make. How do we know work certainty? Its simple; read Signs. They are only the things at the heart of Christianity--and I mean the Christianity that archbishop Fulton sheen referred to that no American would hate but that thousands misapprehends and hate--that have been lessons so hard-won that they were codified so hopefully as our lords teachings in the gospels. One of them that was taught us in the gospels not by parable was the Gethsemane: Oh come ON... Like... you couldnt even be bothered to stay up with or for me for a freakin hour? Like SRSLY and you guys of all people ... This in my last hours, to walk with me doesnt even take any real walking... And your couldnt even do it... Its not just now, since every age has and will lay claim to being todays modern busy life, but throughout all time have people claimed to care--to Love -and yet the one True measure of it--that costs us nothing but that we are so unwilling to give--is our time...ourselves. Ive seen bumper stickers worrying that Could you not spends an hour with me promoting Eucharistic Adoration--and dont get me wrong--of all people I love Eucharistic Adoration; but if we think for a moment that He would ever teach us to worship Him at the expense of spending an hour with the little bit of Him present in every one of us-- If™ w ever believe for a moment that we are doing for Him when we rush off to Mass instead of spending time with someone in a time of need, then perhaps we never knew Him who we claim to do things in His name. And that it be our own faults when people misapprehend Christianity; for when we none of us are willing to keep the least of His Commandments for even the least of those among us, we somehow forget that there is a little bit of Him n each of our hearts and when we judge for any... for ANY reason any of us... We ought then and there expect not one iota more than we showed the least of those among us--than the most scary beggar at the darkest of temple doors--in return from Him--or from anyone; for that is what we testified to be what we were with. Vobis dico, Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen, I say to you--not at all by any authority to make things so be it, but purely descriptive; not at all prescriptively. That by our actions the actions that so accurately describe... project ourselves are we condemned when we lack Charity, when we lack Love. And by nobody else, even by Him or Her without Sin, will we be stoned.
