an excerpt from todays message at Emmanuel Apostolic Church of Louisville KY Somewhere in the badlands there is a city. Its citizens are diverse: they are from every culture, nationality, race, religion, and ethnicity under the sun. They are truly different outwardly but they are united in one mentality. This sounds good but… The environment of this city is harsh and unforgiving. For in this city, it’s inhabitant’s wounds never heal, they remain in the same state in which they were inflicted day after day and year after year. The forecast for this city is always gloomy; you see the sun never shines here. In this horrible place good things rust and rot in the elements while bad things flourish. The ruler of this city is cruel: taxing his subjects with unneeded and even nonexistent burdens. Yet his subjects stay here willingly because they love the excuse their city offers them, “I was done wrong!” The ruler’s favorite hobby is to watch as more and more burdens and bitterness are laid upon his subjects. He watches them carry their heavy loads faithfully until they are consumed by them. This place, this awful place, cannot be found on a map. Your GPS cannot get you there! An airplane or a boat cannot reach it. It is a state in the hearts of man called WRONGVILLE. Its ruler is Satan himself and if you give him the chance he will make you one of his loyal, and enslaved subjects! And yet today people sacrifice freedom for this city. This city’s population multiplies every day. Believe it or not people love living here! Self-pity and the excuse of being done wrong by someone else are powerful incentives to move here! if you live in this horrible place I know a God that has been in the business of Exodus for thousands of years. If you truly want out he will deliver you!
