as I lay in bed unable to go back to sleep last night, I pondered why the TEA party is so obnoxious. What are they trying to accomplish? Maybe they dont have enough of whatever it is they want to hang on to, but compared to many they are kings in their castles. In a largely zero sum game, when you get such a big share that you leave everyone else wanting, do you somehow feel that much better about yourself? I often think anymore that Weber and his Protestant Ethic maybe got it wrong. I am not saying work and reward are bad, to the contrary, I believe most all of us benefit from work, reading and exercise, but to accumulate so much wealth as the upper 1 percent have in the last decade or so, what is left. I remember wishing for all the money in the world, as a youngster, and my father, promptly informed me, then you would not have anything, because if nobody else has money, all that you have is worthless. When I see the posts regarding the house that the Papa Johns owner has, and the riches the Waltons have and Hilton family riches, well, need I say more. Sure one more thing, the politicians in D.C. If they arent rich when they get there, they are when they leave. Where are the Teddy Roosevelt Republicans? When did progressive become a bad word? Hannity and Limbaugh float rhetorical non-sense but they make it sound viable, and there are people who believe them and FOX. Buenas noches, mi amigos. Hasta luego.
