as everyone else is planning and getting ready to celebrate the new year, i cant quite do the same. it was exactly 1 year ago today ( shortly after noon ) that my mom passed away and went with our Lord to be by his side in Heaven. i can only really cope with this knowing that she is no longer suffering.and that she is reunited with my dad and other family members who went before her. i often think about what i could have done to change things, to enable her to stay here with me and my siblings. but i know she is looking down upon us and smiling as we gather together at different times of the year (like thanksgiving and christmas) and sending us her blessings. i miss you and love you so much mom. know that you were my sunshine! and for sure, i will see you again!
