as some of you who know me may know, and as others may not, this is an issue I care a great deal about. from thoughtlessly-transphobic humor on TV and in movies (constant, btw -- start listening), to trans exclusion from mainstream LGB (and so-called T) organizations, leadership, and agenda-setting; to literal murder -- this community is one of the most oppressed and abused in our culture. It is not OK. Dismantling cisgender privilege is difficult in many ways. Defending trans rights is easy.
