#askzaidan #libya --- I would love to ask Zaidan directly the following questions and get his answers for the record: (please add any other questions you want him to be asked) Since you have said publicly many times that the GNC , and specially the MBs and Wafa blocks , have obstructed everything you wanted to do and achieve from the start of your government: 1- can you explain why some of them , at least, voted for you to begin with and how and why they changed their position? 2- if you felt that you are being completely obstructed from the beginning, what have you tried to do to try to resolve that impasse? 3- if you felt it was impossible to work with them, why havent you resigned . Political maturity dictates that if PM can not work with the legislator .... Irrespective of who is responsible.... They should submit their resignation ..... But complaining and blaming them does not make any sense. What is the point of insisting to stay if you knew you will not be able to achieve anything and simply enter into a direct and long running conflict with a big part of the GNC and paralyze the whole government in the process? 4- You were elected directly by the GNC , not by the people, and therefore your own legitimacy and mandate by default is derived from the legitimacy and authority of the GNC ... How can you denounce them , yet still insist you have any legitimacy yourself? 5- what was your vision and plans for Libya when you lobbied hard, and even resigned from the GNC, in order to become a PM? 6- since you have , as recently as last week, gave assurances to other countries, that anyone handed to libya will be given a credible and fair trial by the LIBYAN justice system and process, how do you explain that you now say that there is NO independent, impartial, and fair legal process and that why you left the country in defiance of. Legal order to ban you from travel until the investigation into alleged corruption charges against you is concluded ? 7- do you now feel that people who have been handed by Tunisia, Mauritania, Egypt and Niger to Libya can get a fair trial in Libya under the present circumstances? 8- what national and international strategies have you pursued over the last 15 months, and what concrete achievements you feel you have accomplished? 9- do you have a second nationality ? And if so , is not that a violation of the Libyan law that prohibits the PM from having a second nationality? 10- how do you explain that you have assured the libyan public multiple times , since July 2013 , that the blockade on oil terminals will be lifted shortly , yet , 7 months later the situation seems to only get worst? 11- can you explain who is behind the wave of assassinations in Benghazi , and what have you done or tried to do about them? 12- what have you and your government done about the illegal prisons run by militias outside of the control of the state and massive human rights abuses documented by HRW and others? 13- how do you explain that officials of the former regime under the control of your government and legally jailed for almost 3 years have not been allowed to see lawyers nor have their right to trials yet as documented by Human Rights Watch? 14- why have your government financed and paid salaries to militias that have been committing crimes and human rights abuses, storming of the GNC and even your own offices, and have been implicated in massive smuggling of arms to neighboring countries as reported by the UN ?
